How long have you been involved in community work?

I’ve been involved in community work since 2014.

What does community work mean to you?

For me, community work means coming out of my own shell and participating together in events in the locality where I live. I’m a mother of two and that’s why the community work I do is connected with a community of mothers, and it is in this area that I’d like to find self-realization.

Why did you become involved in community work?

In our locality there’s no space for activities focused on mothers with children. I became involved in community work to get together with other mothers to create a haven where we could spend time together. I know from my own experience that mothers will only get involved in community work if they can take their children with them to the meetings.
